It was to be a relatively typical day at Mighty Marvel. Smilin' Stan was to sit down, separately, with Doo-Wopping Don Kessler, musician manager, and Looney Lloyd Kaufman, comedic comic creature creator. It was a new, strange dawn for Marvel, kooky characters like Kessler's Night Cat and Kaufman's Toxic Avenger were to come to the panels.
Meanwhile, not far away, Spider-Man was doing his typical webslinging when he felt what he would describe as a great disturbance in the Force, if he happened to be a Jedi. But he isn't, so what he felt was his spider sense tingling. Ah, but it wasn't something near by. It was something...on another world.
